I must admit that the retinol uglies got me good and proper! I had tried to use this some time ago and gave up when I thought I must have been suffering an allergic reaction. This time, I persevered. The first week, I applied every 3rd night. Again, I suffered from itching, peeling, flaking, and a burning sensation. "Mild irritation", apparently! So, I googled and found some advice about 'sandwiching' between moisturiser. I.e. a layer of moisturiser, the retinol, then moisturiser on top and increased usage to every other night. 4 weeks later and wow! What a difference. I notice a much improved complexion, I look about 10 years younger! I'm not going to lie, there is still some flaking and mild itchiness but, I'm so glad I persevered this time.
