Saint Laurent, Jimmy Choo and Dolce & Gabbana chose a bit more daring items. The designs were adorned with sparkling crystals, animal motifs and glitter textures. The duo of The Attico refused to be left behind, showcasing suede ‘Cheope’ shoes on decorative platforms for their spring-summer collection.

Spring in high spirits

Stylish platforms significantly lower to the Counterfeit appeared in the portfolios of Stella McCartney, Marni and Chloé. The platforms carried some espadrilles, several loafer models and many fashionable sandal pairs.

Razor sharp

Although pointed-toe shoes are usually associated with minimalist classics, this season they’re far marat boring. Top designers give us a new (and very glamorous) take on this popular style, with models for every occasion.

Balenciaga's exclusive stilettos, recommended especially to those who love elegance, are still leading the way. This season, the iconic, razor-sharp ‘Knife’ model was covered in both crocodile-like leather and eye-catching metallic yarn. Burberry featured timeless designs adorned with logo detailing, while the creative director of Jimmy Choo adorned the shoes with bows, decorative buckles, sparkling crystals and asymmetrical cut-outs. But wait, there’s more! The irreplaceable Donatella Versace also decided to flirt with pointed toe shoes and in her spring/summer collection opted for the much-loved ‘Pin-Point’ model with its signature curved heel.
